About DM Gondwe's Digital Helpdesk
DM Gondwe's Digital Helpdesk is an AI-Powered assistance tool developed by the Johannesburg Businesss School(JBS) Innovation Lab for the Department of Higher Education and Training of the Republic
of South Africa. This HelpDesk aims to provide seamless assistance to users through two primary functionalities:
A chatbot for answering queries and a 3D animated avatar for explaining processes and providing guided information.
The main objectives of this Helpdesk are:
- To create a user-friendly platform where stakeholders can access information and support related to the Ministry of Higher Education.
- To integrate an AI-driven chatbot that can respond to frequently asked questions and common queries.
- To provide a 3D animated avatar that can interact with users, providing explanantions of processes and guidance through complex topics.
- To ensure an easily accessiblle and efficient HelpDesk capable of providing real-time assistance.
- Dr. Mimmy Gondwe: who developed the content for the Helpdesk.
- Prof Abejide Ade-Ibijola and the student development team from the JBS GRIT Lab, who was responsible for all things technical, including the graphics, design, programming and technical support of the Helpdesk.
